Wayne began his mission's journey in 1967 at Monadnock Bible Conference in New Hampshire with his wife, Diane who has been an important part of his ministry and life throughout the years. He graduated from Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF)'s Children's Ministry Institute (CMI) in the early 1970s and Word of Life Institute in the mid-1970s. He ministered in CEF during and after training for over 50 years. He has also partnered with Cru's training centers at various times throughout his ministry. There have been ample opportunities to serve! Wayne and Diane lived and worked in Finland for four years. Then moved to West Germany for three years where they worked with American military chaplains. He has conducted training and speaking engagements in:

He describes the servant leadership principles he's used throughout his ministry and life, in his book, Developing Servant Leaders. He is also committed to helping others develop servant leaders through one-on-one mentoring, group training classes, and speaking engagements that raise awareness for the need for servant leaders.
Wayne and Diane have been married for almost 60 years, have three children, two daughters-in-law, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Wayne enjoys watching hockey, NASCAR races, and football.
