While working with military chaplains in West Germany, he was typically booked 9 months in advance. Also, he and his CEF team in Northern Virginia utilized the principles of servant leadership to grow the ministry to 60 After-School Good News Clubs led by over 300 adult volunteers and over 2,000 children attending clubs weekly. They also had a vibrant, growing summer missions program led by a growing number of student leaders. The volunteers and summer missionaries came from a variety of non-denominational and denominational churches and organizations.
